(Posted by Glaucon Jr)

Now that I’m back from my little retreat with the Greek Fathers, I thought I might bring along a warm, New Year’s greeting from Pope St Pius X whose words are the bookends for my little adventure. In his seminal encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis, the holy man of God warned about Catholic modernists and the resulting destruction of the Faith that we see bearing its most bitter fruit that is the Neocatechumenal Way. It's almost like he has spoken to us straight from Heaven with Kiko and Carmen in mind (bold and underline mine):

  • ·       “We allude, Venerable Brethren, to many who belong to the Catholic laity, nay, and this is far more lamentable, to the ranks of the priesthood itself, who, feigning a love for the Church, lacking the firm protection of philosophy and theology, nay more, thoroughly imbued with the poisonous doctrines taught by the enemies of the Church, and lost to all sense of modesty, vaunt themselves as reformers of the Church; and, forming more boldly into line of attack, assail all that is most sacred in the work of Christ, not sparing even the person of the Divine Redeemer, whom, with sacrilegious daring, they reduce to a simple, mere man.” [Paragraph 2]
  • ·       “But since the Modernists (as they are commonly and rightly called) employ a very clever artifice, namely, to present their doctrines without order and systematic arrangement into one whole, scattered and disjointed one from another, so as to appear to be in doubt and uncertainty, while they are in reality firm and steadfast, it will be of advantage, Venerable Brethren, to bring their teachings together here into one group, and to point out the connexion (sic) between them, and thus to pass to an examination of the sources of the errors, and to prescribe remedies for averting the evil.” [Paragraph 4]

In a way, it’s comforting: no matter how many priests or presbyters or bishops or cardinals or whatever buy into the NCW—or worse, are bought and paid for by the NCW—there is never any way under heaven they can pollute the holy Catholic Faith. They are outside it, and always have been. The Church is always one, always holy, always catholic. They have removed themselves from the Body of Christ by their own indominable refusal to embrace the Truth that is as clear as crystal. If Archbishop Byrnes needs a list of their blasphemous stupidities (to borrow the technical term from St John Damascene), check out our own verified blacklist that clearly states what that arch-heretic Kiko Arguello teaches.

It’s the only way to call them to account, and even after all these months, they still haven’t tried to refute it. Because they can’t. The soul-darkening of their teaching is staggering.

And their false perversion of a pseudo-Gospel only shows they are not only heretical, but schismatic. As the Beloved Disciple puts it:

“They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us --1 John 2:19.

I say all of this in the fullness of Charity, my friends, and more than this: May the Immaculate Heart preserve us. We must never offer the slightest pinch of tribute to those who by their false teaching lead others merrily away from the Faith entrusted to the Apostles--even if it's a cardinal like Filoni who leads the way. We must never allow ourselves to be separated by our acquiescence to those who deny  Cross of Christ and its perfect sacrifice, remembered in our worship in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass--even if it's a shepherd who persecutes the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in favor of a Antinomian revolution.

2017 is the year to be warriors of charity--to fight those who mistake sentiment for the love of Christ. Let this new year come!

ps. Nice to be back. May the holy Mother of Christ our God bless us during this year to come. And may Christ give us victory over His enemies.
