RENEWAL: RESCUING HUMILITY FROM SHAME (PART 1)

(Posted by Glaucon Jr)

If we want to aid in the renewal of the Church on Guam, we have to deal with Kiko’s misuse of shame.

With two decades of NCW influence on Guam, his teachings have soaked in on levels most haven’t even noticed yet. Sure, the heresies themselves are in-your-face and must be combated, but there’s the stuff that’s unsaid that Kiko and his catechists teach that prepares the ground for the seeds of such evil. To my mind, there is one core Luther-an belief that is particularly destructive: that man is evil  in everything he is and does, and Kiko himself is the way out of that evil.

HOLINESS AND THE TRADITION

(Posted by Glaucon Jr)

NOTE: This is God, not a menorah

We who write for and read JungleWatch  stand firm in our commitment to rid the poor, suffering Church of the greatest abuses by whatever means are legally and morally available to us. But no matter what anyone says, the removal of the errors and corruptions of the Catholic Faith by the NCW is not and cannot be the end-game. The removal of NCW as the dominating force in the Church on Guam is really the end of the storm. But how will we start again to rebuild after such a long tempest?

Since we flatly reject the NCW vision of spiritual bondage, we must provide the alternative in this war for the salvation of souls. The answer is found in the Tradition of the Faith. How this is done is where discernment is called for. But we do know what the key is: holiness.

KIKO, HON, AND SACRILEGE

(The Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary:
Always United--and Obstacles of Kikoism)

A priest friend of mine in the States is one of the exorcists in his diocese, and not long ago in a conversation, I asked him about a story I’d heard that the demons are in fact TERRIFIED by the Blessed Mother. “Oh yes, “ Father said, “you wouldn’t believe the reaction. In fact, one of the practical ways you can tell a person isn’t possessed is if they blaspheme or insult the Blessed Mother. Only a deranged person or someone who hates the Faith or willingly under the evil one’s inspiration does that. The demons won’t. They’re too afraid of her and her purity.”

With that in mind, Diana’s new disclosure that the Kiko teaches that Marian devotion is intrinsically not Christ-centered and therefore idolatrous in some way should give us a whole new breath of life. It’s the same Protestant spiritual feces that’s been hurled at the Blessed Mother and those who stand under her loving protection for the last 500 years. I for one won’t let this go, and neither should anyone else. I have been asked to be patient about the liturgy and all that. But on the Mother of God, we will not bend.

AND NOW FOR THE SEASON PREMIERE OF: WHEN DIANAS ATTACK!

(Posted by Glaucon Jr)

Archbishop Hon and all you lovers of Christ our God:

It only took only a few hours after my last post for the NCW propaganda machine to go into high gear and declare me a heretic. Perhaps Diana saw a chance to vindicate herself against a JW contributor for once,  and lo and behold! here's that little treasure wanting to sit at the adult table and give evidence to that. In its way, it's cute, like how a child plays teacher with her stuffed animals and yells  why don't you ever listen to me?!. But since she’s not playing school and believes herself to be competent authority, then I’m afraid it’s a bit more serious than child’s play when souls are at stake.

After a few posts, I've talked about or implied NCW heresy, bad catechesis, illicit liturgy, soul-crushing spiritual formation and direction, and greed. Of all these things, Diana and the mouth breathers on her blog are upset by the suggestion of JungleWatch Nation and the defense of our experience here. No retort for anything else. Really? You want to hitch your wagon to this horse? Ok have it your way.

Apparently, she took exception to the notion that the Israelite nation was born out of the Exodus event, and she spent a fair amount of time contradicting my assertions with her own ideas (or Kiko's or Pius's, I don't know which) on Judaism, sacramental theology, and how the Blessed Mother detracts from Jesus. The whole thing ended with a charming little bit about how I'm in heresy and a false prophet, which is just precious since she began her post by correctly pointing out that  division is from the Devil, and God prefers reconciliation. It's all one giant flaming bag of NCW catechesis sitting at my front door.

A NATION OF THE ORDINARY

(posted by Glaucon Jr)

The mouthpiece for the status quo of acquiesce to corruption in the Church on Guam has repeatedly promoted in its blog pages the insult of JungleWatch’s “manamko army.” It was an insult intended for Tim and those who in the name of human decency couldn’t take the reckless disregard of the people of God any more. I was infuriated when I heard it because our elders are being reviled and mocked by people who at the same time hypocritically claim to stand for Chamorro values. Yet MORE poisonous fruit from the Kiko tree.

But quickly my anger (by the grace of the Good Lord) changed to a deep peace when I saw what all the insults and abuse really mean. It means that there is very great cause for hope, right here, right now. It means that without intending it, these spiritual colonizers dressed as Catholics are actually the ones who helped the JungleWatch blog give birth to the JungleWatch Nation—a people of the Truth dedicated to the fullness and the purity of the Faith of the Apostles.

NICE GUYS FINISH LAST. AND IN HELL.

(St John Paul the Great. Awesomely holy agitator)

There’s a lot of yelling out there that the Junglewatch Nation is populated by awful, terrible sinful people. Why all this angst and hysteria?   Because we commit the worst possible sin we can commit: like Pope John Paul and Pope Benedict, we are offensive.

Of all the mischief out there in this great cage-match for the soul of the Church we are fighting, this dirty trick equating offense with a lack of charity is really disturbing. Like Linda Blair in "The Exorcist" disturbing. We hear it all the time: "you aren't Christ-like, you're offensive!" But when Catholic Christians decide that the goodness of a thing is really determined by whether or not it is offensive, then we’ve already surrendered the Truth in its power to a tyrannical democracy of mouth-breathers.  And with the suppression of Truth comes the death of Love.

TO ARCH BISHOP HON ET AL: MY NOTICE OF INTENT

(Posted by Glaucon Jr)

Call me Junior.

Really. I want to make sure the Lutherans-who-call-themselves-Catholics across the hall get the name right.

This is my first post, so I decided to state clearly what my intention is here, now, and in the future. After some brief experience at the NeoCat blogs and their need for monosyllabic soundbites to grasp more than Kiko song lyrics, allow me the few minutes to make everything perfectly clear: Junglewatch is not defunct and never was going to be. It is now the next crop of wheat that will spread the truth of Christ Jesus, further and further, every day, despite these weeds that would choke the life out those who proclaim the Faith.
